Lewis Hamilton expressed strong dissatisfaction with Ferrari's tactical choices following a fourth-place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix. The race saw McLaren driver Lando Norris take victory, while Mercedes secured the remaining podium positions through Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. Despite missing out on a top-three spot, Hamilton firmly believed his speed during the race deserved a much better result.
The main point of frustration centered on team orders and pit decisions involving his teammate, Charles Leclerc. Hamilton was managing an alternative tire strategy and was moving significantly faster on track. However, the pit wall hesitated to instruct Leclerc to move aside or call him in for fresh rubber. This delay cost valuable time, which Hamilton felt ruined his chances of securing a podium spot.
Reflecting on the setback, Hamilton stated that the squad must elevate their performance if they intend to remain serious contenders in the Formula One world championship battle. He mentioned that these tactical errors would be discussed behind closed doors with team personnel. He also drew a clear contrast with his former team, Mercedes, praising their decisive decision-making compared to Ferrari's sluggish response.
