India is preparing to host the upcoming BRICS Summit, scheduled to take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, in New Delhi. During this key diplomatic event, prominent leaders from across the globe will assemble to participate in high-level discussions. The gathering will serve as an important forum for these figures to address critical global challenges and exchange perspectives over a 48-hour period.
In the lead-up to the official event in the national capital, public interest and creative expressions are emerging in other regional hubs. On September 10, 2026, an artist in the city of Amritsar was engaged in adding the final touches to detailed paintings of the leaders representing the BRICS member countries. The portraits highlight the national focus surrounding the arrival of these international heads of state.
The two-day conference in New Delhi will see these top dignitaries engage in extensive dialogue concerning major international topics. As the city readies its infrastructure for the arriving delegations, artistic tributes such as the paintings in Amritsar reflect the broader public attention directed toward this major international gathering, where important global issues will take center stage over the course of two days.
