Authorities in the region recently carried out two separate animal handling and rescue operations across the twin locations of Noida and Greater Noida. These drives were undertaken to address situations involving animals in populated urban spaces and to ensure both public safety and animal welfare.
In Noida, action was targeted at managing the local simian population in a residential area. A total of nine monkeys were successfully captured by the team deployed in Sector 19. The removal of these nine monkeys comes as part of local efforts to manage human-wildlife encounters within suburban neighborhoods.
At the same time, a critical rescue operation took place in Greater Noida to save a distressed bull. The animal had accidentally trapped itself inside a drain. Response teams intervened promptly to extract the bull from the open drain, successfully bringing the animal back to safe ground without major incident.
Both independent operations demonstrate the active efforts taken by teams working in Noida Sector 19 and Greater Noida to manage urban animal challenges. Through the successful capture of the nine monkeys and the safe extraction of the bull, municipal responses helped resolve two pressing situations in these localities.
