Popular actress Wamiqa Gabbi has opened up about her intense physical transformation for her character in the movie 'Prahaar'. In this project, she takes on the role of Jyoti Nikam, requiring her to use specialized aging prosthetics. The visual change was so drastic that when she caught sight of herself in a mirror, she could hardly recognize her own face, feeling as though an entirely different person was standing before her.
The elaborate application of makeup and prosthetics went beyond mere physical cosmetic changes for the actor. According to Gabbi, this dramatic visual shift enabled her to establish a far deeper bond with the personality she was portraying on screen. Being able to see this altered version of herself provided crucial creative support, which significantly enhanced her overall acting output and scene execution throughout the filming process.
The experience was so immersive that there were moments on set when Gabbi completely lost track of her altered appearance while engrossed in performing her scenes. She became so thoroughly wrapped up in her portrayal that her modified face slipped her mind. Meanwhile, the feature film itself focuses on major legal battles involving Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, offering a high-stakes dramatic storyline in which Gabbi's transformed character plays a part.
