Worldwide Movement Calls on Artists and Activists to Drive Social Change

A major international campaign that merges creative expression with public advocacy has officially begun across the globe. Organized by the Global Artivism Movement, the newly announced Global Artivism Month represents a broad international effort led primarily by voices from the Global South and the Global Majority. The initiative seeks to bring together diverse individuals and groups from across the world to highlight pressing global issues through creative cultural mediums.

The worldwide drive is scheduled to continue through 10 December 2026, concluding on Human Rights Day. To build a broad coalition, the organizers are extending an open invitation to a wide variety of individuals and entities. Visual and performing artists, social activists, cultural practitioners, educational institutions, community groups, grassroots movements, and formal organizations are all encouraged to participate in this extended campaign.

The central aim of Global Artivism Month is to leverage the unique influence of arts and culture to spark positive global transformation. By facilitating creative efforts across different regions and societies, the initiative intends to support campaigns focusing on social fairness, economic balance, and environmental justice. Through these collective artistic actions, participants across all participating sectors aim to inspire meaningful progress for communities everywhere.
